TENET (Travellers Education Network)

Members of the Traveller Education Network (TENET) meet quarterly to share 'good practice' and engage in CPD activities. TENET is an informal forum where teachers and managers from the various Traveller Education services in Scotland meet to discuss and share common issues affecting their working with Traveller families and school staff. Members exchange news, show new resources including IT, catch up on the movements or likely movements of pupils they have worked with and respond collectively to Scottish Government consultation requestion in relation to education and other areas affecting their work.

STEP provides administrative support and participates in TENET's events and concerns.

Download the list of the names and details of Scottish Local Authorities' designated support staff for Gypsy and Traveller pupils (reviewed January 2008 - PDF format).

Council Contacts

Individual council contacts change frequently - please contact the relevant council directly.

Contact details of all 32 Scottish Local Authorities can be found at http://www.cosla.gov.uk . The Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA), is the representative voice of Scottish local government and also acts as the employers’ association on behalf of all Scottish councils. One of their highest priorities is to maintain and enhance our relationship with member Councils.
